资源简介:
The grey featherback, or bronze featherback, Notopterus notopterus (Osteoglossiformes, Notopteridae), is a freshwater fish species in Bangladesh and is widely distributed in South and Southeast Asia. It is primarily found in freshwater rivers, canals, ponds, and wetlands like haors and beels. It is a commercially important species with a silver-gray body and is also valued for the ornamental fish industry. It is a popular fish in Bangladesh due to its taste and nutritional value. However, it has been considered as vulnerable (IUCN, 2020), and data on the complete mitochondrial genome of N. notopterus from Bangladesh is scarce. To address this gap, our study presents the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of N. notopterus from Bangladesh, which will provide valuable genetic insights for molecular phylogeny, evolutionary, biogeographic relationship, aquaculture management, and conservation studies.
