PAD-UFES-20 is a skin lesion dataset created by the Graduate Program in Computer Science, Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil. It includes clinical images captured via smartphones and patient clinical data. The dataset comprises 1,373 patients, 1,641 skin lesions, and a total of 2,298 images, spanning six distinct diagnostic categories. It was developed to fill the gap in public clinical image archives, supporting future research and the development of novel skin cancer detection tools. The data was collected between 2018 and 2019, and it is the first publicly available dataset that incorporates both clinical images and patient data. This dataset is particularly suitable for developing computer-aided diagnosis systems embedded in smartphones, especially in regions where dermatoscopic equipment is scarce.
