Replication package for "AI Disclosure, Investment Decoupling, and Corporate Financial Policy"

OverviewThis package contains the processed panel dataset and Stata scripts required to reproduce all tables and figures in the manuscript, separate figures file, and online supplementary material. 2. Package Contents- master.do Master script that executes all estimation and graphing routines.- readme.txt Documentation of package structure, software requirements, and scripts.- data/analysis_panel.dta Processed firm-year panel dataset (Chinese A-share listed firms, 2012-2025).- code/01_main_tables.do Stata script for Tables 1 to 7 in the manuscript (placed after References).- code/02_appendix_tables.do Stata script for Table B.1 in Appendix B of the online supplementary material.- code/03_figures.do Stata script for Figure 1 and Figure 2 (provided in Figures.docx and standalone .tiff/.eps files). 3. Software Requirements- Stata 16.0 or higher (compatible with Stata SE/MP on Windows and macOS).- Required user-written packages: reghdfe, ftools, ivreghdfe, ivreg2, ranktest. Note: master.do automatically checks for, installs, and compiles these packages if missing. To install them manually in Stata, run: ssc install ftools, replace ssc install reghdfe, replace ssc install ivreg2, replace ssc install ranktest, replace ssc install ivreghdfe, replace reghdfe, compile 4. Instructions for Replication1) Open Stata and run `master.do` directly (it automatically resolves the working directory whether launched from `replication_package/`, `code/`, or via file selection), or manually set the working directory: cd "/path/to/replication_package" do "master.do" All regression results for Tables 1 to 7 and Table B.1 are displayed directly in the Stata Results window, and Figures 1 and 2 remain open in the Stata Graph window (`Fig1_BinnedScatter` and `Fig2_EventStudy`).
