资源简介:
This dataset contains elicited verbal subject-marking and possessive paradigms, other morphosyntactic data, and parts of a dialogue elicited using the Conversational Questionnaire method (Francois 2019, 'A proposal for conversational questionnaires') from Moi with Dormina Paa (born 1954), a native speaker of Moi. (Parts of) the subject-marking paradigm were elicited for the verbs 'to ascend' and 'to eat (tr.)'; (parts of) the possessive paradigm were elicited for the possessed nouns 'canoe' and 'fish'. Elicited morphosyntactic data includes consitutent interrogatives and the function of 'to want'. The dialogue was loosely based on Dialogue A, 'We're going fishing'. The session was recorded on 11 January 2020, in Asbaken village (Sorong regency, Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian' (PF19@004); additional fieldwork funds were provided by a Moray Endowment Grant from the University of Edinburgh. Further deposits are available in the related DataShare sub-community (https://datashare.ed.ac.uk/handle/10283/8573).
