This dataset contains raw experimental data acquired using various analytical techniques, including single-cell ICP-MS and FRET-based methods. It covers the characterization of trace metals, primarily zinc and iron, in biological systems, focusing on intracellular distribution, uptake mechanisms, and protein-metal interactions. The data were collected under various experimental conditions, including models related to diabetes. A subset of the dataset specifically explores metal homeostasis in biological samples from individuals with and without COVID-19, supporting investigations into the role of metals in infection and immune response.
