LNRS Focus Areas for Nature Recovery

Focus areas for nature recovery are where action to recover nature will have the biggest impact and is most feasible. These have been mapped to reflect the priorities for nature recovery. In legislation these are defined as ‘areas that could become of particular importance’, covering areas that the Responsible Authority believes ‘could become of particular importance for biodiversity’ or ‘where the recovery or enhancement of biodiversity could make a particular contribution to other environmental benefits’.
