#06.1 Tourism Sustainability Economic Typology

This comparative dataset supports Report #06 of the Tourism Systems & Development Series, Economic Architecture of Sustainability Implementation in Tourism. It documents 26 tourism sustainability implementation systems across seven recurring economic delivery models identified through cross-case analysis. The dataset compares funding structures, enforcement mechanisms, revenue-loop configurations, implementation authority, SME accessibility conditions, and outcome-coupling strength across cases representing national levy systems, government certification programmes, community conservation revenue-sharing mechanisms, development finance-linked sustainability investment models, donor-funded programme delivery systems, private certification and signalling platforms, and regulatory volume-management systems. The dataset provides the empirical basis for the economic implementation typology presented in Report #06 and supports identification of recurring structural constraints affecting sustainability implementation continuity across tourism destinations, including donor dependency patterns, revenue-loop gaps, enforcement asymmetries, and the observed inverse relationship between SME accessibility and outcome coupling strength. Released as part of the Tourism Systems & Development Series to support transparency of typology derivation and further comparative research on tourism sustainability implementation architectures.
