Anonymous Survey Dataset: Leadership Behaviour in the Construction Industry. A Comparison between Namibia and Germany in the Context of Cultural and Socio-Economic Differences.

This dataset contains the anonymized responses from a cross-sectional survey examining leadership behaviour in the construction industry in Namibia and Germany. A total of 158 valid responses were collected from employees working in construction companies (Germany: 86; Namibia: 72) between June 6 and July 7, 2025, via an online survey platform. The survey includes 42 items measuring six constructs: employee satisfaction, turnover intention, communication, individualism, creativity, and employee-oriented leadership behaviour. Responses were recorded on a 5-point Likert scale. Demographic information such as age, educational background, and company age is also included. The survey was available in German and English, with a back-translation procedure applied to ensure consistency. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21, including descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, and reliability testing (Cronbach's alpha). The dataset allows for replication of analyses and supports cross-cultural comparison between Germany and Namibia in the context of leadership behaviour. All data have been fully anonymized to protect participant privacy.
