Most well-known meat substitute brands in Germany 2024

In a survey carried out in July of 2024, 78 percent of responding German consumers were aware of the Rügenwalder Mühle brand. Once a company best known for its meat products, Rügenwalder Mühle now generates over half of its revenue from the sale of meat substitute products and has become a staple in many German grocery stores. Alnatura and Iglo (Green Cuisine) are the second and third most well-known meat substitutes on the German market with 75 and 60 percent of respondents being aware of them, respectively.
