Panel Data on Market Prices (MP), Direct Prices (DP), Prices of Production (PP), and Economic Complexity (ECI) Derived from GLORIA Input-Output Data, 1990-2023

These six panel datasets in Parquet format compile variables derived from the GLORIA (v060) input–output database. The data span 120 industries across 164 countries over the period 1995–2023. Variables: MP: Value-added at market prices. DP: Value-added at direct prices (prices proportional to labor values). PP: Value-added at prices of production (assuming global profit-rate equalization and wage-rate equalization). ECI: Economic Complexity Index, estimated using the Hidalgo–Hausmann method of reflections applied to export data. log(MP), log(DP), log(PP): Natural logarithms of value-added at market prices, direct prices, and prices of production, respectively. Net_r: Profit rate net of unproductive labour compensation, adjusted for self-employment income and capital depreciation. Net_r_global: Global average profit rate in year t. Net_r_dev: Deviation of the net profit rate from the global average in year t. All panel datasets were constructed by Tomas Rotta using GLORIA input–output data.
