资源简介:
A compilation of multiple resources that supplement the analysis of links/association between cereal cultivation (as a proxy of staple cereal consumption) patterns with regional prevalence of wasting and/or stunting in India and other parts of the world with high amount of millets as staple. Document contains (a) Digestible indispensable amino acid scores (DIAAS) determined for human foods using the pig or rat model (Data from published studies compiled by Hans-Henrik Stein, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign), (b) Micronutrient table for cereals compiled from Indian Food composition Tables 2017, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, India, (c) Link to Excel sheet containing FAOSTAT data of countries with malnutrition indices, (d) stunting and wasting levels of different countries (e) prevalence of WaS (concurrent wasting and stunting) data by country, (f) under 6 month wasting (under 6months) levels by country & (g) A schematic figure showing the possible pathways linking staple cereal consumption with child malnutrition with key steps highlighted (with references to evidence from literature).<br>All original sources cited; FAOSTAT dataset is separately available as Excel; compiled
