Tectonic subsidence of a continental slope basin promotes an abrupt shift in sedimentary environments at ~12–11 Ma in the northern South China Sea

This dataset consists of seven tables. It includes depth correction conversions for Holes U1500A and U1500B, age–depth relationships and sedimentation rates of multiple IODP sites, event layer distribution and lithostratigraphic analysis at Site U1500, as well as modelled tectonic subsidence data from simulated wells, average subsidence rates and cumulative tectonic subsidence of the Baiyun and Liwan sags.
