Voting intention for 2022 presidential elections in Brazil, by family income

According to a survey carried out in August 2022, the higher the household income, the more popular was incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro. 41 percent of those surveyed whose family income was more than five times the minimum salary intended to vote for him, a share that went down to 27 percent in the case of those whose income was less than twice that salary. Among the latter, 55 percent claimed that they would vote for Lula da Silva. The voting intention for Lula was also higher among Brazilians with lower education.
