Bombyx mori as a representative of Lepidoptera is an important economic insect in agriculture production. Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a bacterial pathogen in silkworm production. Understanding how silkworm respond to Bt-toxin can provide guidance to cultivate resistant silkworm strains. Dazao, a sensitive Bombyx mori strain of Bt toxin were reared on fresh mulberry leaves under a standard situation. First-day second instar larva was treated using 375mg/L. samples were collected at 6h after feeding Bt toxin. Total RNAs were extracted using TRIzol reagent from whole larvae and cDNA library was constructed using aNEBNext UltraTM RNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina. RNA-Seq consisting of 100 bp paired-end reads was performed on an Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform.
