Gene database of Clostridium ljungdahlii DSM 13528
收藏资源简介:
Clostridium ljungdahlii is a Gram-positive, low GC bacterium that thrives under anaerobic conditions. Able to convert carbon monoxide into ethanol, the bacterium occupies a useful niche in biotechnology, particularly from the perspective of converting waste gases into useful products. Hence, C. ljungdahlii offers an interesting platform for developing into a future biotechnology workhorse in the area of refining C1 compounds into biofuels. This works aims to provide fundamental information of the genetic repertoire of Clostridium ljungdahlii DSM 13528 by parsing the annotated genome sequence of the bacterium downloaded from Genbank. Comprising gene name, gene function, and gene sequence, the resource should find use in a variety of biotechnology workflow aiming to understand functions of genes in the bacterium as well as developing loss-of-function mutants for probing underpinnings of bioprocess inefficiencies.
