Mad Honey Legal Status Dataset
收藏资源简介:
How 22 jurisdictions treat mad honey in law. Mad honey here means honey from Nepal or Turkey of the kind that can contain grayanotoxins. jurisdiction_status.csv records, for each jurisdiction, the status for possession, personal import (a traveller's luggage), commercial import and sale, whether any instrument names grayanotoxins or mad honey, and the government source for each status. claims_audit.csv checks regulatory claims that circulate about mad honey against the primary documents they cite. README.md gives the method, the schema, the limitations and the changelog. Main findings in version 1.1: of the 22 jurisdictions, only South Korea has a national rule that names grayanotoxins (it has barred imports of Nepalese wild honey since 2005), and inside the EU, France has a regional rule for comb honey on La Réunion; EU law sets no maximum level for grayanotoxins; honey from Nepal has no route for commercial import into the EU, Great Britain, Norway or New Zealand, under general honey rules rather than rules about grayanotoxins; and no active FDA import alert is about grayanotoxins (Import Alert 99-23, which has been cited for it, concerns produce). Version 1.1 corrects version 1.0, which dated South Korea’s ban to 2008 (the date of a notice that restated it). The changelog in README.md lists every change.
