This dataset is developed based on the MOD11A2 product of the MODIS Terra satellite, adopting the Maximum Value Composite (MVC) method to generate an annual maximum land surface temperature (LST) sequence with a 1-kilometer spatial resolution covering the entire territory of China from 2000 to 2024. 2. This dataset is applicable to research institutions including universities, research institutes, enterprises and public institutions. 3. Having undergone strict quality control, this dataset features long time series and high spatial continuity, providing an important data foundation for studying the spatiotemporal patterns and changing trends of China's regional land surface thermal environment, as well as related issues of ecological environment and climate change.
