资源简介:
The application of new sequencing technologies has been growing during the last years, providing an increase of database resources for non-model species that allows the study of biological mechanisms. Turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) exhibits a marked sexual growth dimorphism in favour of females and thus it is interesting to understand the process of sex differentiation to bring it under check. In parallel, fish disease outbreaks in fish farms are far from being controlled, thus causing important losses. With the arrival of new sequencing technologies, valuable data can be obtained to study biological processes. With the objective of generating the first-ever comprehensive turbot transcriptome database, several strategies were developed.
