Worldwide-scale Shipper Transportation Planning Instances (Dataset)

This dataset of transportation planning instances is a fruit of our partnership between Renault Group and the CERMICS laboratory at Ecole des Ponts. Those instances spans different scales, from regional to worldwide-scale. Worldwide instances have thousands of customers, hundreds of platforms, dozens of indistrial sites to deliver, 6 months horizon (discretized weekly) and several hunddred thousands of commodities. In our paper "Optimizing a Worlwide-scale Shipper Transportation Planning in a Carmaker Supply Chain", we introduce a new iterative local search to solve those instances. We hope that sharing them publicly will motivate research on real-world and large-scale transportation planning. Environmental and economical impacts at stake are substantial.
