Transcriptome profiling of the earthworm (Eisenia fetida) gut under fungal pathogen stress by RNA-seq

This project investigates the transcriptional response of the earthworm Eisenia fetida to fungal pathogen challenge. Using RNA-seq technology, we characterized the global gene expression changes in the earthworm tissue following exposure to fungal pathogens. The dataset includes raw sequencing data from pathogen-treated and control groups, enabling the identification of differentially expressed genes and pathways involved in the host defense mechanism. This study provides insights into the molecular basis of host-pathogen interactions in soil invertebrates and contributes to understanding the immune response of earthworms under biotic stress conditions.
