Economic Census - India

The Economic Census (EC) of the Central Statistics Office (CSO) provides up to date information on number of establishments and employment therein, activity wise, of all the sectors (except crop production, plantation, public administration, defence and compulsory social security) of the country, including their distribution at all-India, State, district, and at village/ward levels for comprehensive analysis of the structure of the economy. However, the number of establishment and employment are found be much much lower than other surveys.
