Analyses in "The Biogeography of the Amazonian Tree Flora"

Analyses for the tree species turnover in Amazonia. It begins with the ordination of the plot-level community matrix (2,023 forest inventory plots (1 ha) that provide abundant data for 5,188 tree species) and the model for the influence of environmental and spatial gradients. It follows with the ordination of the gridded community matrix (47,441 0.1-degree grid cells that provide relative abundance data for 5,188 tree species). The resulting ordination of the gridded community matrix is mapped over Amazonia to detect zones of sharp tree species compositional turnover. Graphs for the species niche proprieties for selected environmental gradients are drawn to depict species positioning and compositional turnover along those gradients.
