Data for Fukushima Wastewater Release and its Profound Impact on the Fishing Industry

The dataset includes fish catch statistics from Japan, South Korea, the United States, and Canada, covering the years 1960 to 2022. This information was sourced from the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission. Additionally, detailed export data from Japan's fishery sector, recorded monthly from 1983 to 2023, was obtained from Trading Economies. This export data provides insights into the total annual exports and the annual rate of change in Japan's fishery exports.

The study also incorporates a dataset for multivariate regression analysis, which includes variables such as fishery exports, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and population figures of Japan, enabling a nuanced multivariate analysis. Furthermore, a linear regression model was utilized, which includes data from a dispersion wastewater simulation combined with Japan's fishery exports data. This model aids in assessing correlations, determining the strength of these relationships, and formulating future projections.
