Mycobacterium tuberculosis variant bovis strain:3488 Genome sequencing and assembly

Mycobacterium tuberculosis variant bovis strain 3488 was isolated from a felis catus in UCD Veterinary Hospital. This isolate was identified as M. bovis BCG via PCR due its missing RD1 region. Subsequent analysis including de novo genome assembly and annotation following whole genome sequencing with Illumina and Oxford Nanopore Technologies identified this isolate as M. bovis. This resource includes the reads used to assemble this genome, as well as the annotation file, and RNA reads used to perform transcriptomic analysis.
