### Overview
Suicide Basin is an ice-dammed basin along the margin of Mendenhall Glacier. The basin formed when Suicide Glacier, formerly a tributary glacier of Mendenhall Glacier, thinned and retreated. The basin has been the source of glacier outburst floods since 2011. In order to quantify the basin's storage capacity and how it is changing over time, we have conducted regular drone surveys since 2018.
