Chinese kale (Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra Bailey) is an original Chinese cruciferous vegetable which is distributed widely in southern China and Southeast Asia. The Glucosinolate content is very high in Chinese kale. However, little is known about the molecular genetics research and molecular mechanisms underlying glucosinolate metabolism in Chinese kale. This study sequenced and characterized the transcriptomes and expression profiles of genes expressed in 11 tissues of Chinese kale.
