Test Excavation Report of Archaeological Investigations at CA-HUM-519 and CA-HUM-516

Roscoe, Archaeologist, Bureau of Land Management and a field assistant from the agency. The investigation was conducted pursuant to 36 CFR 60.4 and 63 to establish if the sites were eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. The sites are located on, two isolated parcels managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The subject parcels as well as several others were traded for private land in the King Range National Conservation Area. Prior to implementing this land exchange, a determination of eligibility was necessary for the above recorded archaeological sites. It was determined that neither Archaeological site CA-HUM-519 or CA-HUM-516 merits inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places under the evaluation criteria in 36 CFR 60.4.
