Wine grape pomace (GP) is the main solid product of the winemaking process. It is a rich source of polyphenol compounds that are believed to have antioxidant properties when fed to livestock animals. In recent years, several studies have investigated its overall effect when added to the diet of farm animals; however, little is known about their effect on the global gene expression in those animals. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to investigate the transcriptome fingerprint of the GP-supplemented veal calves and to correlate it with other phenotypical characteristics.
