Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing concern in hospitals in Bangladesh due to poor waste disposal systems and the misuse of antibiotics. There is a lack of comprehensive profiling and antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) and resistome analysis in hospital wastewater. Using shotgun metagenomics to analyze microbial and ARG profiles from seven regional and metropolitan tertiary-level hospitals located in seven different divisions of Bangladesh the assembly sequences were generated.
