Single Cell Analysis of a Mouse Model of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia Links Oxidative Stress to Progenitor Cell Properties

scRNAseq of prostate cells from 6 and 8 month old Pb-PRL whole prostate mice with enlarged prostate after 28 days of treatment with antioxidant molecule; Anethole tritione (ATT) or coconut oil (vehicle). Overall design: Two Pb-PRL transgenic mice (6 and 8 months old) expressing prolactin under the control of the probasin promoter were treated by daily gavage for 30 days with a dose of 60mg/kg/day of Anethole tritione. Two other Pb-PRL transgenic mice (6 and 8 months old) were gavaged with coconut oil, the vehicle used to dissolve ATT. The prostates were then dissected , digested with collagenase and FACS sorted to harvest live cells, excluding Ter119+ red blood cells.
