This dataset presents the local Nusselt number distribution along the platform on which 16–65 nm CTAB-stabilized gold nanorods were deposited and irradiated with a 0.8 W, 808 nm laser. Heat was generated as a result of photothermal energy conversion associated with the localized surface plasmon resonance phenomenon. The data below are grouped into two columns for the ascending and descending stepped platforms introduced into a chamber filled with 2 mL of distilled water.
