JMJD3 is a demethylase for histone H3K27. To analyze the role of JMJD3 in hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis, we generated conditional knockout (Jmjd3-/-) mice for JMJD3. We found that loss of JMJD3 in L-GMPs delays the onset of MLL-AF9-mediated acute myeloid leukemia in a mouse BMT model.
