Berkeleyomyces sp. sequencing

The drug-type cannabis plants that motivated our study showed visible root discoloration and tested negative using all available cannabis pathogen tests. The detection of Berkeleyomyces black rot in cannabis, which at the time of these experiments, was not a known cannabis pathogen, highlights the need for continued research to close the knowledge gap that exists between this crop of renewed interest and other cultivated plants.
