This thesis investigates the immediate and medium-term effects of radial extracorporeal shockwave therapy on Insertional Achilles tendinopathy. Four studies were conducted, including a systematic review, a reliability study, and two randomized control trials, to develop an understanding of the mechanisms and efficacy (compared to placebo) of rESWT.
