In our study, we developed an alternative next-generation sequencing dataset processing strategy to identify genetic variation in backcross mouse models. We used this approach to define SJL genetic content in B6.SJL-CD45.1 mice from different vendor sources. Overall design: We performed H3K27Ac ChIP-seq experiments with CD4+ Th1 cells isolated from C57BL/6 or B6.SJL-PtprcaPepcb/Boy mice from different vendor sources. We also performed H3K27Ac ChIP-seq experiments with CD4+ Th1 cells or CD8+ Tc1 cells isolated from conventional or germ-free mice.
