Modelling the Behavioural Side of Textile Waste Collection

The data presented here were generated through a hybrid simulation (combining agent-based and discrete-event modeling) that replicates a logistics system for managing urban textile waste. The python code of the simulation is available on Github. Please see the link at the end of the page.
The Excel file labeled "base_line" corresponds to a baseline scenario in which standard bins are used. The alternative file represents a more advantageous scenario, where smart bins are deployed to enhance logistic performance and incentives are introduced to promote sustainable waste disposal.
In both cases, the first worksheet provides data on the evolution of citizens’ environmental awareness and the factors influencing its change. Additional citizen-related statistics—such as the total kilograms of textile waste generated—are also included. All statistics are aggregated by citizen archetype and city neighborhood.
The second worksheet contains operational statistics related to both the collection trucks and the bins utilized within the logistics system.
