资源简介:
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain, leading to impaired motor balance. Mitochondrial damage and oxidative stress damage to dopamine neurons are the main factors in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, while constipation and gastrointestinal dysfunction are accompanying symptoms of PD. At present, the treatment of PD mainly relies on monoamine oxidase inhibitors, dopamine receptor (DR) agonists, and other drugs to alleviate symptoms. In severe cases, surgery and electrical stimulation therapy are required. So, safe and effective therapies to alleviate PD are still worth exploring. Probiotics have been reported to alleviate PD by regulating the gut brain axis, but the mechanism still needs to be further explored. Our aim is to investigate whether the novel synbiotics can alleviate PD and its mechanism of action through in vivo and in vitro experiments.
