Dowe CCA Zone 1 National Park Vegetation 2009 VIS_ID 4888

Vegetation community mapping for Dowe Community Conservation Area (CCA) Zone 1 National Park by John Hunter, 2009. A Northern Tablelands NPWS Region contract. Mapped at 1:50,000 scale. Dowe NP is north east of Gunnedah immediately adjacent to the east of Lake Keepit.\r\n\r\nFive communities are defined based on classification (Kulczynski association). These five communities were mapped based on ground truthing, air photo interpretation and landform. The communities described and their status are:\r\nFloristic Community Area Reservation Status\r\nC1: White Cypress Pine – Silver-leaved Ironbark – White Box Woodland\r\nC2: White Box – White Cypress Pine Grassy Woodland\r\nC4: Yarran Shrubland\r\nA total of 170 vascular plant taxa were found from 51 families and 125 genera (22% exotic).
