MCS tracking results in Northeast China and surrounding areas (Water Year 2020)

Mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) were tracked using a module from the Multi-Object Analysis of Atmospheric Phenomenon (MOAAP) algorithm on datasets sampled to a horizontal resolution of 0.1°x0.1°. The algorithm uses brightness temperature and precipitation data together to determine the presence of MCSs. This dataset provides estimates of the occurrence location, time, area and other attributes of MCSs in Northeast China and its surrounding areas in water year 2020 from different datasets, which is helpful for studying the occurrence process of MCS in mid- to high- latitude regions and analyzing uncertainties.
