15.5K is a RNA binding protein involved in the Minor Spliceosome. Here, we used shRNAs to knock down 15.5K in HEK293T cells to analysis the function of 15.5K in ncRNA expression. Overall design: Total RNA from negative control HEK293T (shNC) cells and two 15.5K-knockdown (sh15.5K-1 and sh15.5K-2) cells were ligated to RNA adaptors, followed by rRNA and snRNA depletion. After reverse transcription and library amplification, inserts between 20-500bp were size selected and subjected to Illumina sequencing.
