VPRS 17960 Trainee Record Cards

This series comprises of two sets of cards that provide a summary record for trainees detained at the Langi Kal Kal Youth Training Centre (VA 2545).The earlier cards, dating from 1975 to 1980, are smaller and contain the following information:- trainee's name- date of birth- reception date- religion- weekend leave contact- movementsIn some instances the back of the cards contain the following information:- offence- sentence- court- dateThe later cards (1980 - 1993) are larger and contain the following information:- trainee's name- date of birth- age- reception date- religion- physical description- present offence- sentence- court and date- weekend leave contact- parents' address and telephone number- weekend leave datesIn some instances the back of the cards contain the following information:- pending court appearances- sentences- parole- remission- travel arrangements.Researchers should be aware the cards may also have a final assessment report attached.
