Database of species occurrence records from: Catarino, S., Romeiras, M. M., Pereira, J. M. C., Figueira, R. (2021) Assessing the conservation of Miombo timber species through an integrated index of anthropogenic and climatic threats.

Occurrence data of Miombo timber species in Sub-Saharan Africa (<em>Afzelia quanzensis</em> Welw., <em>Brachystegia spiciformis</em> Benth., <em>Guibourtia coleosperma</em> (Benth.) J. Léonard, <em>Isoberlinia angolensis </em>(Welw. ex Benth.) Hoyle &amp; Brenan, <em>Julbernardia paniculata</em> (Benth.) Troupin, and <em>Pterocarpus angolensis</em> DC.) used for species distribution models. The records were gathered from GBIF - Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF.org, 2020a; 2020b; 2020c; 2020d; 2020e; 2020f) and a floristic inventory carried out in Angola, published by Santos (1982) (Catarino et al., 2021). The occurrence data available for Angola was georeferenced, based on locality description and using Google Earth Pro 7.3.2.5491. Duplicated records (i.e., records with the same collector and number) were deleted. The remaining records were analysed in terms of quality and accuracy. This dataset contains 1860 records with less than 5 km of spatial uncertainty and is published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data.
