Aphidius ervi APA strain genome, Raw sequence reads

Aphidius ervi parasitoids were reared in fresh host plants containing wasp-naïve aphids from the same aphid host from which they emerged under controlled conditions [16 h light: 8 h dark, 20°C]. Pea aphids were maintained on broad bean (Vicia faba L.). These lineages were propagated for approximately 75 generations under controlled conditions. Each week, fresh host plants containing wasp-naïve aphids were introduced into the A. ervi rearing cages for parasitoid population maintenance, together with vials containing diluted honey and water for adult parasitoid feeding. Further reduction of intra-population genetic differences was accomplished by establishing isofemale parasitoid lines. These isofemale lines were maintained as described previously and propagated for approximately 10 generations before wasps' collection for genomic sequencing.
