Expression profile of COUP-TFII overexpressing mouse ventral midbrain

Elevated COUP-TFII levels are found in Parkinson's disease. COUP-TFII overexpression in mouse dopaminergic neurons caused neurodegeneration. The goal of this study is to identify molecular mechanisms of COUP-TFII-mediated cell death through RNAseq. Overall design: We utilized a previously established CAG-S-COUP-TFII allele and crossed it with the Slc6a3-Cre line to overexpress COUP-TFII specifically in dopaminergic neurons. The experimental group is Slc6a3-Cre; CAG-S-COUP-TFII, while the control group is Slc6a3-Cre. Ventral midbrain tissues from two-month-old mice were harvested for molecular profiling.
