Underlying dataset for Domain-Specific Physical Activity and Depressive Symptoms in Korean Adults (KNHANES 2014–2022)

This dataset contains the minimal data required to replicate the analyses reported in the manuscript <i>“Domain-Specific Physical Activity and Depressive Symptoms in Korean Adults: An Isotemporal Substitution Study Using KNHANES Data.”</i>Data were derived from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022 cycles, which are publicly available from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency. The dataset includes sociodemographic variables (age, sex, education, income, marital status, occupation), health behavior factors (smoking, alcohol use, stress), domain-specific physical activity variables (occupational, leisure, transport, sedentary behavior), survey weights, and the PHQ-9–based measure of depressive symptoms (cutoff ≥10).Original KNHANES data are publicly accessible from the KDCA website (https://knhanes.kdca.go.kr). The current file provides the recoded and harmonized variables used in the analyses, enabling reproducibility of the study findings.
