Reference Land Cover Change in Manovo-Gounda-St Floris-Bamingui 2000-2015 (vector) - version 1, February 2019

This metadata refers to the Land Cover Change vector data generated over Manovo-Gounda-St Floris-Bamingui (Africa) for 2000-2015 in the framework of the Copernicus Global Land Hot Spot Mapping (C-GL-HSM) contract under the coordination of JRC.
This area of interest is either mapped with the generic 8 classes dichotomus legend (CAF_06_lcc_a) or the detailed modular legend (CAF_06_lcc_b).

The mapped area of interest (AOI) represents a Key Landscape for Conservation area (KLC). The KLC has a total size of about 8.5 million ha (85,000 km²) and is situated in the Central African Republic, partly extending into Chad. It contains the protected areas of Aouk-Aoukale faunal reserve, Gribingui-Bamingui faunal reserve, Koukourou-Bamingui faunal reserve, Bamingui-Bangoran National Park, Manovo-Gounda St Floris National Park, Avakaba Presidential Park, Ouandja Vakaga faunal reserve.
