Priority subjects and areas of interest are:• Synthesis of advanced materials for industrial applications at room and high temperatures with different types of processing methodologies such as liquid-solid reactions, powder metallurgy, sol-gel processes, mechanical alloying, etc.;• Design of novel as-synthesized/as-sintered materials such as metal matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, polymer matrix composites, and other complex materials including MAX phases, MXenes, high entropy alloys, intermetallics, etc.;• Manufacturing of industrial parts using sintering processes which comprise compacting and forming solid materials by heat and/or pressure without melting them such as pressureless sintering, hot pressing, spark plasma sintering, microwave sintering, etc.;• Computer modeling and numerical simulation of materials during the sintering processes to predict the physical behavior e.g. the heat transfer and thermal stresses in the materials and devices.
