This data set contains level 0 and level 1 data from the nadir pointing Wyoming Cloud Lidar (WCL) and level 1 data from the zenith pointing Wyoming Two Field of View Lidar (2FOV) taken from the NSF/NCAR C130 during the Western wildfire Experiment for Cloud chemistry, Aerosol absorption and Nitrogen (WE-CAN) project conducted over the Western United States. Both the 2FOV and nadir lidar backscattering coefficients are calibrated with simulated clear sky backscattering coefficients. Because the nadir lidar is more often blocked with clouds or smoke, the nadir lidar is further calibrated with 2FOV data to make the combination seamless.
