We developed the technology which coupled Single Cell ISOform RNA sequencing with the Assay for Transposase Accessible Chromatin (ScISOrATAC) and applied it to assess whether chromatin and splicing alterations in the brain convergently affect the same cell types or divergently different ones. We applied ScISOrATAC to three major conditions. First, comparing the Rhesus macaque prefrontal cortex and visual cortex. Second, comparing cross species divergence of Rhesus macaque versus human PFC. Third, studying dysregulation in Alzheimers disease in human PFC by comparing cases versus control.
