Pesticide input datasets at 5 arcmin in China from 2001 to 2022

Spatially explicit datasets of pesticide inputs integrating 146 active ingredients across 12 crop systems in China from 2001 to 2022<br>## Description of the data and file structureThe dataset was developed through field surveys covering 1181 respondents and 12 crop systems and order-dependent relationship quantitation of crop-specific pesticide usage patterns, combined with multi-objective optimization to minimize provincial-level prediction errors, with official statistics serving as constraint conditions. This approach integrated crop-specific application trends, registration timelines, and spatial disaggregation to produce active ingredient (AI)-specific input estimates at 5-arcmin resolution from 2001 to 2022. <br>The dataset contains two parts of files: 1) 22 subsets, named as the year from 2001 to 2022, produce the geographically grided inputs of 146 AIs in China, and 2）an excel file named ID and coordinates, presenting IDs of cell grids and their corrspondeing coordinates.
